Misty Mill is a lakefront home that sits on three beautiful acres! The acreage and view from the home are really what sold us on this property. We knew we could easily renovate the home ourselves and personalize it to our needs but the acreage and view was something we knew we couldn’t compromise on or find anywhere else— so we were SOLD.

Three acres sounded wonderful to us and our three kids; however, the upkeep is quite intense unless you have the right equipment! We are so happy we have our HUSTLER TURF mower now to mow our lawn. When choosing a mower, we looked at four main components: is the mower durable? Is it reliable? Does it perform well? And how easy is it to maintain? We came across HUSTLER TURF and knew right away that it was the right mower for our needs at Misty Mill and here’s why:

They have over 5 1/2 decades of experience building zero-turn lawn mowers and the research, development and testing that goes into these machines does not go unnoticed.  I spent significant time on the phone with the Hustler Turf Team and feel very confident about the products they are making.

SmoothTrak Steering

The SmoothTrak steering on these mowers are unbeatable because of their travel distance of the steering levers. When you have short travel distance, you get jerky moves which makes edging, mowing around obstacles, keeping straight lines and moving on embankments difficult. It’s nice that we never have to experience any of that with our mower because of its SmoothTrak steering.

Decks

The HUSTLER TURF mower has foot operated 10 gauge fabricated welded-steel decks. There is an added 11 gauge formed channel with a rolled edge along the bottom impact area which protects the deck and extends the life of it. If you compare this to lower end mowers, they all have stamped decks meaning its only 1 piece of metal stamped to the shape, making it much less durable.

Warranty

And if all of this wasn’t enough, they have a 5 year/500 hours (or 2 year no hour limit) warranty on all of their mowers.

The steering, frame construction and deck construction really separate this mower from the rest. They use all of their commercial mower knowledge and experience and put it into their line of residential mowers so you know you are getting a dependable and long lasting mower. When choosing your mower, make sure that you look at the frame, front cast yokes, spindle, deck and if it’s zero-turn, a Kawasaki engine works great. Ultimately, the versatility, durability and dependability of the HUSTLER TURF mower made our decision on which mower to get easy and now mowing the lawn at Misty Mill is a breeze (and fun!).
