Chip’s gift for spacial planning is highlighted through the way the various outdoor spaces provide such effortless functionality in such an organic and inviting aesthetic.  The outdoor kitchen, with its dueling grills and dining for 8, is located just steps away from the indoor kitchen making meal preparation (and clean up) a snap. The dining area transitions into a cozy living room area for an intimate conversation or a fun family board game. The outdoor shower is as enjoyable with the endless hot water supply as it is functional with a spot to rinse off dirty feet before tracking the grime inside.  The covered portions of the deck were completed with rocking chairs and a swinging bench for those naps that just feel so right.  Chip chose to keep the fireplace up close to the cabin rather than creating an entirely different destination spot that would then rarely get used.  The continued paver walkway helps draw visual attention beyond the fire pit to the lakefront and boathouse beyond.  A combination of colorful in-ground plantings and sculptural containers planters give this outdoor entertaining its final finishing touches that makes this spot simply magical.
